Q1: What is the difference between DPL and IPL photofacial?

DPL (Dynamic Pulsed Light) uses a narrower spectrum of light (about 500–650nm) compared to traditional IPL (500–1200nm). This allows the energy to be more targeted and precise. Because of this, DPL treatments are often used to improve uneven skin tone, reduce spots and redness, and refine pores with fewer side effects.

Q2. How many flashes should I use on a dark spot per session?

Beginners: 4–6 flashes per spot
After skin adapts: 6–8 flashes per spot
Treat each area only once per session; avoid repeated flashes on the same spot.
Tip: Start with BRI./PORE mode for the first week, then switch to POWER mode once your skin is comfortable.

Q3. What is the recommended frequency of use?

3–4 times per week is recommended.
This allows DPL energy to target dark spots effectively while giving your skin enough time to naturally renew and recover.
Reduce frequency or number of flashes if dryness, redness, or irritation occurs.

Q4. Do I need to prepare my skin before treatment?

1. Cleanse your face thoroughly.
2. If skin feels dry, use a hydrating mist spray.Avoid using the device if your skin has had heavy sun exposure in the past 3 days.
Perform a patch test on the inner arm and wait 1 hour; do not use on your face if irritation occurs.

Q5. What should I be aware of after the treatment?

Use a soothing or cooling mask to calm the skin. Avoid washing your face with hot water and minimize sun exposure for at least 48 hours. During this time, avoid strong or active skincare products.

Q6. Who should not use this device?

This device is not recommended for individuals under 16, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or people with very sensitive skin, open wounds, or abnormal scarring.

Q7. What results can I expect from DPL photofacial for pigmentation?

DPL photofacial helps improve uneven skin tone, reduce pigmentation and acne, minimize the appearance of pores, improve facial redness/rosacea (red blood vessels), and support collagen production for smoother-looking skin.

Q8. How many sessions are needed to see results for acne marks or redness?

With consistent use, most users begin to see visible improvement in spots, acne marks, and redness in about 4 weeks. The device is typically recommended to be used 3–4 times per week, allowing the skin time to recover between treatments.
Results may vary depending on skin condition and consistency of use.

Q9. Can DPL help reduce pores or fade freckles?

Yes. DPL photofacial technology can help improve uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and enlarged pores. The 500–650 nm narrow-spectrum light targets melanin deposits and stimulates collagen regeneration, which can help refine pores and brighten the overall complexion.
